Hi everyone,

I'm sure you've all seen or heard about the true disaster that we are enduring here in Lismore.

My poor little shop has been inundated by the awful floodwaters, and it will be at least a couple of days until we can get in there and assess the damage. And damage there will surely be.

It looks like I've lost all of my parts and accessories, my test amplifiers (including my lovely old converted valve record player that was a present from my Dad to my Mum when she was pregnant with me ( in 1958!!), and which I've played and recorded everything through since...), my ancient Peterson Tuner, and all of the  gifts, pictures, and odd nic-nacs that have made my weird little shop seem like home to all of you.

Yikes.

Whatever transpires, I will re-build the shop and will re-stock as quickly as I can. Flood-insurance is non-existant in flood-prone Lismore, so  between yourselves (the wonderful guitar-playing folk of the Northern Rivers), my limited reserves of funds, and the help of my diabolically challenged mortgage, I should be able to gather it all in and get the train back on the rails...

Aw...fuck.

Love and peace etc.
